This downtown Boise Christmas tree photoshoot in the middle of December was such a joy to create. I have wanted to do a photoshoot with a Christmas tree in an unexpected place since I saw this shoot by From the Daisies. Obviously, New York City and downtown Boise are very different places but the inspiration for this shoot was “taking your Christmas tree for a date in the city”. Anita and Steven were so much fun to photograph! It was so funny getting lots of weird looks from the other downtown city goers as we walked around with a Christmas tree in the middle of the day.
We started at this Christmas Tree Farm. I scouted out a cute Christmas tree farm with some lights and lots of green trees! We picked out a tree and the employees of the farm just pulled it up (who else didn’t know that Christmas tree farm trees aren’t actually in the ground?! Because I thought they were actually planted in the ground my whole life). We put it into the car and were good to go downtown!
These are some of my favorite photos I’ve ever taken! Anita and Steven were so natural and fun to photograph together and did all the crazy poses I asked them to do all while people all around downtown Boise were gawking at us. This is a day I will not forget soon and such a fun photoshoot!
These last images are the film from the shoot. Film is always a natural beauty without even trying and I love adding it into my sessions. I have a film add on for most sessions if you love the look of film! For more of my portfolio and film work click here. Keep checking the blog for more creative shoots like this one!
We had so much fun! Thank you for taking our pictures!!! Such an awesome memory!
