Around five years ago, Yanira and Roger got married in the Boise courthouse. They didn’t get official wedding images on that day and I have always wanted to do a downtown Boise styled elopement so I asked them to model for me! For my first photoshoot of 2024, we put together a session that celebrated their marriage. Our shoot started at the courthouse in Boise and then went to a local photo booth in a classic elopement day style.
Snow started falling when we were outside the courthouse but Yanira and Roger were great sports even with the very chilly temperatures.
After the courthouse, we moved to downtown for a little post elopement coffee while the snow started to really fall. I love the photos we got with all the snow flurries. Coffee dates are such a cute way to stay warm and get cute images during the cold Idaho winter months. Even though my fingers were freezing off on this afternoon in early January, winter is starting to be one of my favorite times of year to shoot. I know thats a little wild but the cozy vibes from a winter shoot like this coffee date moment are unmatched.
At the photo booth, we got out the funky sunglasses and fur coat and had some fun! This vintage photo booth outside the Record Exchange was the perfect spot for downtown Boise elopement photos. I picked up a bouquet for Yanira from Trader Joe’s in a very “oh we just popped in and bought this bouquet on our elopement day” type of way. It was such a joy to take photos of Yanira and Roger and to celebrate their marriage through photography. I am so grateful to know these two and to have seen their love develop over the years.
